Best Place To Find Wood!

I'm after a nice large piece of wood for the corner of my tank.

Just had a small re-scape... all that vallis is sitting in a bucket at the minute until i figure out if i want it or not. Im going for the lots of wood and a more "open" feel.

What im after is a long "rooty" piece, about 2.5-3ft long and 2ft high

Anyone know the best place to buy this? preferably online as its alot cheaper i find

The woods...

You can find some marvellous pieces if you look hard enough

Can you do that? I'm always worried about it falling apart in the tank lol

Most of the wood in my tanks are 'found'

As long as you remove all the bark beforehand it will be fine, although you may find it leeches some tannins.

Beaches but you need to be able to get rid of all the salt first (but you'll proberly know )

I like to check fresh water ponds. Lots of them around where I'm at. I soak them in really hot water for a while to kill off any baddies...
