I beg to differ you can put green neon tetra in a 3 gallon. All you have to do is fill the 3 gallon aquarium with treated water and release the green neon tetra in said aquarium. Viola you have green neon tetra in a 3 gallon aquarium.

btw it is not green tetra and neon tetra - it is 'green neon tetra' which is paracheirodon simulans not to be confused with neon tetra which is paracheirodon innesi
Of course, we that witty logic, you could put an Oscar in a toilet bowl, an arowana in the sink and...etc..

Why is everyone so mad about my tank???
Basically, because it isn't a 'tank'.
It's a glass bowl that were deemed to be inhumane decades ago, when it was thought a pretty fish in a pretty bowl was a pretty thing to have, with no consideration whatsoever for the poor creature trapped inside it. This poor thing was usually a goldfish, that would live a very short and painful life, as it's inner organs continued to grow and its outside didn't.
We don't like such things here.

and can anyone give me instruction of how to keep shrimp in a used tank like mine?
...and could I put a vanilla lobster in there there soo cute!
You need to look at what any creature you think is 'soo cute' actually needs, not just to survive, but to live a happy life for the length of its natural lifespan.
Please understand that I am not being harsh and am talking to you as I would any other adult. If you are a child, then I'd still be giving you the same info.

only thing in a 3 gallon are bettas, snails and shrimp.

Ok I am willing to buy a new tank at petco any recommendations? I can go up to $50 and I think for the tank if he wants to be next to a goldfish 18 inches by 5 inches if he wants to be on top of my dresser that would be 50 inches by 1 foot and I will post a shrimp thread

Its sad that people mis treat bettas like that. I rerember one time i saw a 1/4 of a gallon tank, thats half the size of my hospital tank selling as a betta tank, and this is the worst part. They sold 15 of them!   😭 😭 😭
1/4 gallon tanks are sold all over shopee. The worst thing is the lego tanks. They sold 35,000 of them(this is not a typo).

Petco does a 50% off sale on all of their standard tanks regularly, I believe it is going on right now! With the sale

10 gallon (20x10x12) - $10
20 gallon long (30x12x12) - $25
29 gallon (30x12x18) - $35
40 gallon breeder (36x18x16) - $50

I’ve seen your other thread for your goldfish, I would recommend the 20 long or the 29 for your situation. If you want shrimp or snails you can use your 3 gallon. If you want a betta, I would recommend a 5 or 10 gallon. If you want tetras, 20 long. Pea puffers i would recommend a 10 gallon, same for endlers or guppies.

When buying equipment for the tanks (filters, heaters, decor, substrate), order online for in store pick up. If you spend over $50 on equipment (they don’t include the tanks) you can get 25% off!

Well at least they are made of "quality plastic material", and the packaging has been reviewed 5 stars....
