Best Filter?

I do have a cabinet underneath which could possibly hold an external. Would it be to much filtration if i had an external and a fluval u4 in the tank?

you can never have 'too much' filtration, but depending on the fish you can have too much 'flow' or fast moving water.

I run a Fluval 305 external on a tank similar to yours. That filter is rated for tanks up to 300L, but I find it does a great job. I position the outlet against the glass to spread the flow and also to disturb the water surface for oxygenation.
