Wanting a couple of caves for my tank, bought one off ebay and it looks like a loaf of bread (honestly it does) Was thinking of making a couple from coconut shells do they sink ok ? I am not too keen on the flower pot look either although they look nice in a few tanks I have seen on here. Any suggestions :good:

i have a few coconut shells in my tank, my loaches & plec love them. have you tried a few pieces of slate built up to make a cave they look good as well :D

Yes my dad has plenty of slate could give that a try as well thanx :good:

I've taken PVC piping in various sizes and used aquarium silicone to attach small to medium stones (to hide the fact that it's PVC). Throw a little sand in there, and Voila! a cave.

depending on the size of your fish - shot glasses are effective, if you cover them in sand you can't see what they really are because they are clear!
