Hi Guys,

I have a sole maroon clown and would like to get an anemone for him.

Does anyone know what type (Bubble-tip.. Malu.. etc) would he be best suited to, and most likely to host. He/She is only a juvenile (about 1").. is he/she too small for an anemone at the moment?

Big decision, and I don't wand to make the wrong one. Any advice appreciated.

Well, I'd first read the anemone guide for beginners atop the Inverts section of this forum. Nems are not easy creatures to keep at all and not necessary for clownfish. Then I'd get the easiest anemone you can get your hands on since maroons are not picky ;) Heck they might even host a Xenia colony

if u can, try and get hold of a small(4") carpet anemone as it will grow with the clown as maroons can grow to quite some size eg 6". he may not go in to it at first if he is tank bred as they have never seen one before but nature will take over. as allready posted anemones can be very sesitive as they require a well matured(7 to 8 months min) tank and good lighting such as 4 t5s or a 150watt halide
