I've just been given about 20 guppies by an uncles who wanted to get rid of some of them out of his tank.

They are very strange looking things (which i'm sure is aas a result of in-breeding) - they all have tails that bend down and the tail and bit of the body just before the tail is transparent apart from 1 or 2 tiny flecks.

I've never seen anything like it before and was wondering what people thought - is it an inbreeding problem as I have a few guppies (reds , blacks - flame tails) etc.. and wonder if I put them all together I may get some even more wierd results.

its a mutation. They have a bent spinal cord. I wouldn't breed them for fear of passing this trait on.

as final dynazty said DO NOT breed them as it is probably a problem with the spinal chord therefore they are deformed, and by breeding them you will be breeding deformed fish

Same as the other replys don't breed them.
