So recently my guppy had afew problems. I asked around and came to the conclusion it was a swimbladder problem. Which has since been dealt with and shes okay now.

I thought that would be the end of it, but now my Betta is behaving stragely. Hes hiding out, barely swimming and his fins on the top look abit...raggy.

2 of my baby mollies died in the breeding net we're keeping the babies in aswell for no obvious reason.

Checked the water for everything, all stats are fine. Did a water change recently. Filter working fine. Not over or under feeding.

I dont fecking get it. >:[

Suggestions?

What were the actual numbers from your tests? How old is the betta?

How long is the tank working? How was the cycle done.
Tank size? How many fish in it?
The setup helps understand what's going wrong.

This AND can you post the actual test numbers. I know you say "fine" but numbers help too. We don't want you to give up. The hobby can be frustrating but the rewards are worth it.

put a fungal disolving tablet in there if you have them. to kill off any bacteria. if the bettas scaled are ragged, gills red or puffed out, or bloated looking then you need to treat that right away! before it turns to a bigger problem. use a gravel vaccum if you have one when you do water changes

the op says the fins are ragged, not the scales

could the guppy and betta have had a spat?

I had guppies and betta's in the same tank before and will not do it again.
Betta's dont like "Fancy" fish, and my betta "Zoomie" would activly chase and nip the guppies.

Could be you have had a fish fight and you are seeing the results of it.

Erm, a fungal disolving tablet will kill fungus, not bacteria.

I don't feel that we have been given enough information to diagnose the problem. Suggesting a course of action that turns out to be inappropriate could cause the fish to die. Perhaps waiting until you know what the problem is would be beneficial to everyone.

Well stated. I would still like to know more from Weew before moving onto solutions. It may be as simple as changing a feeding schedule or removing fish from the tank etc.

Considering the OP hasn't logged on for over a month, I don't think the fish are pulling through.

Hoepfully they come back and don't give up on the hobby yet!
