Before And After The Gravel To Sand Change

right then, so today i decided to change my gravel to sand,
i was just getting bored of the look of gravel and the amount of cleaning i have to keep up + it looks more natural and the cats love it
so i went to argos, and purchased 30KG of play sand for £5.48p, bargain i say
anyway i kept the fish inside the tank whilst i did this, i did half of the tank at a time,
seperating the fish with a divider to stop them getting stressed

4 hours later i got this result, im more than happy

the water is still a little murky and cloudy but it will clear up

That looks lush, I am about to do exactly the same thing!! What size tank is it - cos I was gonna go for the 15kg bag for £2.89 (bargain) fot my 3 footer ... or is it 4 ft..cannie remember!!!!!

i used a 10g bag for my 3 foot tank but the sands only about a inch thick

i used 15k for mine, and its 30x12x15

i still have a spare 15k bag

sand always looks more uniform , no matter what is was like before , sand always looks better , in ANY tank
