And don't worry....
...Blue Dempsey's are not dyed.

What awesome markings on that fish! Never saw one of those before.... very tempting little guy.

Ok I have seen these guys before and have read they are hybrids. What are they mixed with to get the blue color. I have found very litte info on them so far.
I am normally very anti-hybrid but these guys may be an exception except for the high price ive seen them no lower then 75 dollars for a 2 inch fish. How much did yours cost you?

I have read that they are a "genetic abnormalty"- if you will.
They are born from regular Dempsey parents.
I have had them for awhile now.
I think I paid $20 a piece for them.

From the few articles I did find on them, one stated that 2 blues could not reproduce. You have to breed a blue with a regular to get offspring. Dont know if its fact or not. But they are good looking fish all the same..

Wow.... lucky you! He IS uniquely beautiful. I also would love to see more pics of him. He's FOTM material but to get a fair shot at votes can you get a clearer pic of him?
