Bearded Algea

i have bearded algea or at least this nasty hairy stuff growing on some plants and rocks. i would like to get rid of it which fish should i buy, i have an active red tailed shark.

Do you have any real plants in your tank at all? If you have have you got a few or loads? As plants will compete with the algae for nutrients reducing it a bit. Water changes also help as the algae fixes nitrates to aid in its growth.
No fish soley eat algae so your problem wont just go away with fish.

i believe the best fish to eat beard algea are american flag fish

if you don't feed them, they will munch on it all day long!
