I just finished watching this wildlife program which included some nice footage of Lake Malawi residents (at 17min+ in), and thought any UK members interested in African Cichlids might appreciate the heads up, the iPlayer URL is: http://www.bbc.co.uk...ld_heart_Water/

I wish I had a tank big enough to support the scale of it all...

Enjoy :)

Was a good program just watched it on the Iplayer but fresh water fish content was only 5 mins or so and while it was interesting could of been much more.

Yeah, never enough fish content...I think there are more from the series due so here's hoping.

I am still waiting to see a documentary on New world Cichlids, the firemouth's natural habitat maybe...I may have to end up going there instead :)

there is also this one (although about tangyanika) its mainly about the fish :) there is 4 parts,

Wow, thank you! Shame the resolution was so low but love the content :)

yeah i found it interesting, and it gives examples throughout of the different biotopes found in the lake and its inhabitants, even the way it goes into detail about the different types of teeth found and their uses,
next thing im looking for is any decent vids about malawi :)

even if we ignore fish content. this is a series that's well worth watching. this area is, after all, where we all come from. as, anyone, will tell you. you can only find where you are going, after you understand where you came from. my apologies if you believe in the bible
