I loved Battlefield 2 and 1943 on computer, Haven't tried them on PS. Battlefield 2142 ruined the series :(

I actually really enjoyed 2142, the only problem (which is inherent in BF games) was the lack of co-operation. I still giggle at the thought of getting onto the enemy titan and leaving floating mines outside where their heli's took off. Especially when people were queueing to get in them.

Very different from the previous games (and could have done with some better maps) but I still enjoyed it.

Not played 1943 but have been hearing good things about it. If/when it comes out on PC I think I'll give it a bash.

I never understood how to get into the big ships lol.... In BF2 I knew what I was actually doing, but 2142 confused me. 99% of the time I was running around like a headless chicken, I still don't get it lol...

I was quite lucky at the time, I had a few mates to point me in the right direction. Made all the difference.

I love 2142 do the same tricks like jumping over the wall on the East of camp gibraltar and running up the wall and around deploying a squad beacon on the building then capturing the beachfront and splitting up the fighting. When you do get a squad which works effectively together its easy to carve up the place as everyone else is fairly free for all. I get annoyed though when someone joins my squad then starts saying I shouldn't be squad leader even though I have the most kills in the squad and normally we are the only squad that has broken through enemy lines and are actively taking control points to flank the enemy with everyone else being perfectly happy under my leadership. Just peeves me off that some people don't notice how a squad is suppose to work and not run around like headless chickens.

If you mean by moving the big ships the titan? Only the commander can move it and only when allowed on certain maps via the full screen map.

Getting into them is fairly easy, once the forcefield things down (apologies, long time since I played so a little hazy.) If the titans are close enough you can jump using the launch pads from one to the other. Barring that you can use heli's or the ejection seat in APC's.

Anyone been playing it? I am really enjoying it!

Had a go yesterday, the dog fights are great fun and much better/easier than BF2. BF2 still trumps it for overall gampley IMHO though.

I do have to agree, I know Battlefield 2 can get a bit hard but its the overall realness that I love about the game. The whole way it is set out with the huge maps, veichles, realistic situations is why I love it so much....
