 It honestly felt weird handing him over a quid.

I mean, look at my pictures. There is nothing wrong with it. I spoke to a friend yesterday and she said you never know, maybe he wants to play it safe and describes it as in rubbish condition just so he definitely gets positive feedback. And she was right. It is truly in great condition, that man is nuts :fun: I can get you pictures of the 'damaged trim' tomorrow. There is nothing wrong!!! I think he just wanted it shifted as there was a 'sold' sign in front of his house and at the end of the day I saved him the trip to get it somewhere else.

Great spot. I am jealous.

Whats the planned stocking for this one?

Thanks :)

I was looking but not really looking. I have the Vision 260 which I got on ebay for £47 and I thought that was a bargain for my malawis. I saw this tank (the 400) at a friends' house full with malawis and from that moment on I knew I'd want to upgrade to it sometime. I thought I'd wait until I start my new job in September but I was being curious and wanted to see what the 'going rate' on ebay was, hence I did a quick search. Stumbled across it, watched it, nobody bid so I had to have it. I really didn't expect anything, as I said, the tip is right between my house and this guy's house and we said we'd just dump it there if it was rubbish and we would have only lost a Pound, but then to our surprise it was perfect. If I hadn't looked that night I would have never stumbled across it. Or if I had waited until September. I feel so lucky! Lights are going to cost a bit but the cabinet will be cheap as it's a family member and he will make us the perfect cabinet for a great price (he is a carpenter btw).

that certainly was a good buy, cant believe no one else wanted to go for it, but there loss your gain. well done for grabbing a great bargain, :good:

I can only guess that with such large tanks people need to be very local and have transport (got an estate) and the way he described it it didn't sound good but I didn't care. I was prepared to throw it on the skip, but took my chance as he was local and it was cheap.

Minnnt, should I get you one too? ;)

Well done...more cash to spend on fish now !
