Barbs Near Surface?

A few of my barbs are swimming a lot near the surface id say 1-4 inches deep, the water parameters are fine, am i just over reacting?

Do they not usually do this? My barbs roam all over my tank, and come up to the very top when I get near it, hoping to be fed. If they seem fine otherwise, I wouldn't worry.

They normally move all around the tank and sometimes sit in an area, I have seen them up top but no spending this much time up top. They fed normal and dart back to the middle of the tank if I go near them, could it be the just take a rest behind the filter currents? I added a second filter yesterday.

My fish have done this before there not barbs but it was coz my filter stoped workin and they wernt getting enough oxygen.

have you got enough surface agitation on your tank??? could be a prob with oxygenation although our barbs often swim around up top. but maybe as you say its just the current, although barbs do like current tup top ,i wouldnt worry too much just keep an eye on them.
