Hello i added two leapord corydoras to my tank yesterday. 1 of them is fine, the other has no mouth part and barbel its complelty rounded like nothing there at all. The areas is white no red or anything. I seen feeding this morning and rummaging. I have black v. small gravel the man at maiden head aquatics asured me this would be ok for corydoras when i purchased it.

Will this grow back and should i return it as i dont think this much would be missing just after 1 night.

did you examin the fish before purchase? if so i would have avoided this particular fish and chose another specimin. this wouldnt have happened overnight so i imagine it was already there and like this in the shop. corys much prefer sand as its kinder to them but as long as your gravel isnt sharpe and is smooth it shouldnt be too much of an issue.

No i didn't silly really now i think of it. I dont want to return him as it could be a pain with trying to catch him. Im not sure if you would class it as smooth it very small. It seems to be eating just fine will moniter it for couple days before i decide.

Its all differnet shapes not round balls.

Just thought id update the mouth part is growing back and i can now see two small barbels growing the other ones have grown longer too. Ive been treating with melafix for couple days and seems to have done the trick.
