i have recently rescued a RTBS from my LPS (was w/ like 8 others in a 10gl.) so i thought i could get one for my 20gl.

well since they are a more aggressive species i wanted to get a schooling fish, tiger barbs! yay! i was also thinking about rosy barbs too...not sure

i was wondering if i should get like 10 tiger barbs or 6 tiger barbs and 6 rosys?

Hey....

I had an RTB with my group of 8 tigers and let me tell you that i had nothing but trouble...My RTB would constantly chase my tigers and at times did physical damage to them.....Now dont get me wrong....Some RTB's can be very docile and wont harm a fly...BUT...the majority of them become very aggressive with age. Also...while tigers will be "alright" in a 20gal tank, usually a 30gal + is best for them as they need a fair bit of swimming room.....HIH a little... :D

My friend had a RTBS that never harmed his barbs, but that was in a 29 US gl tank. digital_run is right that it could be rough, especially in that small of a tank. Personally I think you're ok with the combo in a larger tank, especially one with enough plants and decorations.
