Banned Fish

WHOA theres that post. I thought it never went through. I don't know what happened, THat was meant for the senegal or New and inproved oddball thread, can't remember which, somehow it ended up in this one. lol

redtails are banned? i see them all the time. im pretty sure its not banned because california bans lots of fish even though they cant survive in the wild

Pirahna are banned in most warm water states bnecause of the possibility that they could find somewhere to breed. We have South American cichlids breeding in the lake at Roadrunner Park near me. Mostly oscars and they're HUGE! I think they're even bigger than the ones in most people's aquariums. Must be the extra food and space. Irresponsible people who dump them are eventually going to get them banned if they become enough of a problem.

I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure that Pacus are banned in Florida due to people releasing them into pond, lakes, rivers etc. It usually ends up with a big scare from somebody miss Iding it and saying "PIRANAH!!"
