The common name is raphael. Doradidae or platydoras is the scientific name thus leading to them being known as doras.

They eat carnivore pellets, and will almost never come out in daylight (or tanklight for that matter :) I think of them as extra ammonia build-up :nod: I've heard that they won't be as timid if they are kept in groups of three, but having no experience with trying three I honestly do not know :p They will eat small fish and get from 6-8 inches in length :D
actually mine is quite peaceful It has been fine with my neon, glo-lite and lemon tetras
 
Thanks guys! For now, I am going to upgrade my tanks for a while (better lighting, goal is 3.5-4 WPG:D and make most of them heavily planted. The turtle tank will be lightly planted, because the turtles are so clumsy.) I will definitely be getting some of these critters though!
