No idea on the topography in question, but rivers often broaden and slow down as they near the ocean because thats where flat/alluvial land tends to be. Rolleyes a bit misplaced there Carl. Blanket statements without proper knowledge to back them up is the sort of thing that can lead to misinformation and myth in a hobby like this.

And if the river flows inland from the ocean? The river would actually be quite fast flowing.

Carl which tank do you think would be best for them? i can move stock about to fit them in :good:
I'm by no expert an expert on Loaches, but my importer says they come from fast-flowing waters, so I can't agree or disagree. But from my experiances, these loaches love the filter outlet=fast flow. As long as you plan your stocking well thought-out, then there is no reason why you can't have a group of these in the 125L. Use the 125L for higher temp species, and the 115L for cooler water species.

righti can move the bettas, platies and bronze cories out, leaving me with the Sterbai and pleco on the bottom then the Ram SAE and Tetras :good:

would be great but i'm in the UK

I was meaning I could put you in touch with her for some first hand information, not to buy the fish. I know you Brits have email. :dunno:
