I've read so much about putting my ballon bellied mollies with angel fish. I have mostly all BBmollies but recently have an interest in some beautiful angel fish I have found. Half of what I read says they can't live together, half says they can. My water is slightly brackish, and in Molly conditions.
Advice? Tips? Thoughts? Thanks!

Oh and is it possible for a BBmolly to have babies 4 weeks apart? Bc it just happened!

It certainly is possible for mollies to have fry 4 weeks apart; yours has just proved it!
Seriously though, yes, the gestation period for livebearers is approx 30 days; it can vary a few days either way depending on temperature and pH.

Trust me on this; you shouldn't keep angels in the same conditions as mollies; they have totally different needs. Yes, modern tank bred angels are very different from wild caught ones; they're nowhere near as sensitive now, but their preference is still for low pH, low hardness water; definitely not brackish; it would not be at all good for them.

You'll just have to set up a separate tank for the angels ;)

Haha I wish! My apartments told me that if I set up another tank they're going to charge me a pet deposit!
And fine! No angels for me right now...
Everything I've ever read, and 5 years experience, shows me that mollies usually take about 6-8 weeks, usually closer to 8 to drop fry again. Never seen one do it in 4. However, she's newer to my tank, and has very very small amounts of fry but is always huge.

6-6 weeks? How interesting!

Maybe it's the brackish water that slows the gestation down?
I have to confess I've never kept mollies myself; my mum used to breed Dalmations many, many years ago, and hers always took around 30 days; they were in freshwater though.
