Bala Sharks

Could anyone please tell me how fast and how big these sharks grow? I've heard everything from them growing between 6" to 14". My lfs has these sharks at around 3" and I was wondering how old they would be.

35.0 cm for an adult; I have no idea on how fast they grow.
but you will need a huge tank for them.

Bala sharks do reach 14", they do not stop at 6" but they are very slow growers. I would say a 3" specimen is about 1 year old.

They can reach 12" easily and maybe more depending on the individual fish....I have never personally kept them due to the excessive size these guys can reach but i've heard that when kept "properly" they grow quite fast.

I've had my 3 in my 110 gal ( 5 ft ) tank for 7 or 8 months, they were 3 inchs when I got them and are now 4- 4.5". I'm not sure how old the 3" ones are in your LFS but I'd guess around 3-6 months. HTH.
