I may get a new tank for my fish, but the only thing is i want some bala sharks, the tank i was going to get is about 64 uk gallons or 75 us,is this enough for one or two fully grown bala sharks?
Thats a pretty big footprint. perfect for bottom dwellers. I think the width will make up for the length, after all, fish don't have to swim strait, they can swim diagonally across the tank too.Sasha the breen said:The tanks measurements ar 36"x24"x20",its not very long(which is a bad thing)
Common Plecs reach 18-24" and produce alot of waste so a big fish would need external filtration. Again I would advise you against this. How about one of the many smaller Plec species, like Leapard Frog L134, King Tiger L066 and so on?Sasha the breen said:well could i keep a common pleco in it?,my LFS and a few others near my place said that if its well filtered i could keep 2, i doubt this, but is their any solitary fish that grow big, arent aggressive and easy tp care for, i was thinking bala's but seeing as so many dont agree with it i think its out of the question,i was thinking this way to stock it,
6 neons
6 platys
3 kribs
2 gouramis
1 common pleco
(this is including all that fish i have now apart from the pleco)
I'd go for three or four smaller Plecs. Take a look at some of the L numbers on the Planetcatfish.com Cat e log.Sasha the breen said:sorry i ment sailfin.I was thinking of another big fish besides a bottom dweller,i have a filter already it does 2500ltr an hour so my tank will be well filtered. So could someone give me some options for me
