Hello,

the bags of live food at my LFS contain too much food for my one betta, one trick even finds theres too much for his small community tank, can you suggest any ways of storing the excess to be used another day?

freeeze it as it comes in the bag with the liquid? or just freeze the food itself?
Your fish food comes with liquid in the bag? What kind of fish food is this? If it is just dry betta food in a package, then you can freeze the extra, but I'm not sure what kind of betta food you are talking about when you indicate that it comes with liquid..

When I had leftover blackworms, I'd put them in a half-gallon container next to an open window (or you could keep them in your fridge). I would replace the water every day, with fresh de-chlorinated water.

Nooo... it means a bag like fish come in from the store with water and a live food such as daphnia, glassworms etc. I was wondering this myself, I've found somewhere that does live and want to condition my cories with it. Maybe making ice cubes with it? Or better still, a 'flat pack' so you can break off as much as you need.

I'm not an expert in a lot of foods, but daphnia you can culture and continue to raise on your own. What type of food are we talking about?

i bought a bag of Brine shrimp once i kep the lefovers in a small plastic tank... and even though there were a few left i forgot all about them and when i actually remembered 2 weeks later the tank was bubbling with them
