Hey guys got a problem! My rainbow shark "attacks" my scissortail sometimes but othertimes it doesnt bother with it is there any chance they are playing  or am i gonna come home to a dead fish! only them 2 and a siamese fighter in the tank just now. Cheers in advance!

With the rainbows you can never tell with them they are so mean at times. I would just try to keep the rainbow plenty places to hide. This sometimes helps.

:D Thanks, i got a small castle ornament which the rainbow seems to hold as his own. When buying a few more fish should i try get some that a bit bigger as he doesnt bother with the siamese fighter at all! Thanks again :D

With rainbow and RTB, they will usually become more aggressive with age...They will usually chase anything which resembles another shark and sometimes just chase things for the "fun" of it. While plenty of hiding spaces work. this usually just a temp fix as they will continue to stress anything that comes in their way. As with all fish some are very docile while some are terror's. I had to put my RTB in a tank with my Severum and Clown barbs, because he was just to much for my community tank.

Thanx even tho it kinda is bad news -_- I got 2 tanks which are about 2.5 ft bottom 1 is calm just got an angelfish,1 guppy, 2 red eye tetra and 2 black phantoms.

Can you suggest what i could put in the 'top' tank along with the Rainbow & Fighter that wont be bullied or bully them cos I already luv this lil guy am afraid! ;)

Cool well im guessing my(his) mini castle is home to him doesnt seem to be hurting the scissortail so fingers x`ed that he dont bother him too much!

i have a rainbow and he would chase anything new put in the tank but i have had the same fish for close to 2 months now without any new editions and the only thing he really chases now are my Opaline gouramis, the only fish he never chased that was a new edition was my full grown female Betta cause as soon as i released her she went right for him, flared at him and he submitted and they never bothered each other again after that, i also had major algae hanging from my filter and i took a chunk off and held it under water hoping 1 of my plecos would eat from my hand but it was the rainbow shark that swam through my fingers and hand tugging on it, i would suggest a long tank to keep a rainbow shark in cause they are relentless when they give chase
