Well at least you tried and many say the fish only get as big as the tank, perhaps we should keep cod well they don't get too big well not as big as the sea.

Perserverence works too - my partner was someone who used to think fish got as big as their tank - but recently, she's been pointing out poor conditions at the pet shops in the area .

Well it's been awhile but Now it's an allout African Cichlid tank, with

1 Yellow Lab

1 Kenyi

1 Male Auratus

4 Red-top zebras( 1 of them is the biggest of the tank, a full 5 inches!)

and 1 Peacock Cichlid( I think that's whats it called)





He didn't clean it for months on end,the algea was really thick and the tank was only half-full. He did take my advice some months ago when I told him to load the aquarium up with rocks, and 2 days ago he cleaned out his tank!! It's looking really good, you can actually see through the glass! He also left good chunk of algea on the rocks for the Cichlids to graze upon. I personnaly think this is a big step for them. What do u guys think? B)




P.S I forgot to mention that all the balas, goldfish, and honey gouramis died. Oh well, you can't have everything

Having only just picked up this thread, it sounds like they listened to you, unfornunately too late by the sounds of it.

Not knowing a lot about African Cichlids I can`t comment on the stocking.

Do they have access to a PC. If so, why not introduce them to TFF and have a look at this thread so they can see that you really care.

Edit...Can I assume the Africans are all in the 10g

Yes, that is next on my agenda. I just started pursuading them into looking into this forum. Don't know if they did it yet...

What? Goldfish they are a cool water fish and the others are warm water fish. The goldfish gives off alot of ammonia which could kill the fish . all that in a 10 gallon sure i have alot fish in my 10gallon but im upgrading to 50 gallon . that some messed up people.
