Bad News!!

I know how you feel  . When I got my tank, one whole panel was broken when I opened the box :( then I took it straight back, had the manager open a new one so I could see, and the bottom was cracked on that one  . Then finally, he took out a different one from another company that was not cracked :) , and let me have it. :sly:

Regarding plants:
I have a 1 gal, so I only have one plant, an Elodea Densa. Just one long branch.
I like my Elodea Densa, and it apparently likes me too, 'cause it's been sprouting roots and branches!! 3 root/branch combinations in the last 10 days!
Maybe it has to do with the lots of lighting I put in, but in the past plants were brownish. Now, actually thriving. :alien:

This is on this site, written by Rose:
Anacharis / Elodea - Egeria Densa Good plant for beginners, and with its rapid growth it helps create a balance in the aquarium from the start. Help prevent algae because it absorbs a great number of nutrients from the water. The plant secretes antibiotic substances which help prevent blue-green algae (a type of bacteria). The growth rate depends largely on the amount of light and nutrition available. Growth does not stop in unfavourable conditions, but the plant turns light in colour and the tendrils grow thin. Height 40-100cm, Width 3-5cm, Light medium-very high, Temperature .. 10-26ºC, pH tolerance 5-10pH, Hardness tolerance … soft-very hard. Easy plant to care for.
