I was at Maidenhead Aquatics today and asked if they sold or gave out any matrure media (no, by the way) and they started talking about bacteria in a bottle products which I kindly refused. Then, they opened a fridge and pulled out a little pastic can (transparent and had a ring-pull) and stated that "there is amonia and nitrite in this can so that the bacteria can live". Again, I politely declined as I had heard nothing about it.
Sadly I didnt ask for the product name (stupid), but has anyone heard/seen/used this?
I'm five weeks into a fish-in cycle (new to the hobby, did not know better) without seeing any trace of nitIte and was wondering if this stuff could help?
