Hi all

Have spent the last two nights looking for backing film. Ideally I would like silver to create a mirror effect but otherwise something plain. It also needs to be 2' high. Have found a couple of sites that have blue / black in this size but nobody has stock. Any suggestions

Backing film ? You mean a background ? if so, i tried looking everywere for a mirrored background for a previous tank i had... couldn't find any anywere at all.

As for the black/blue, try ebay... they have loads. :good:

My better half just used a big piece of hardboard and spray painted it the colour we wanted. He then attached it on the outside of the tank with some tape and it worked a treat. Just an idea!

Will try that in the meantime. Just found some reflective film (meant for windows) on ebay. Might give that a go

what kind of fish are in your tank? because i tried to pick backgrounds that accenuated my fish.

HI IF THIS HELPS I USE A BLUE SHOWER CURTAIN JUST GET THE CRESES OUT AND ITS FINE

Some fish will constantly be trying to get at "the other fish" in the mirror if you go with the reflective silver. Just a fair warning.

Sorry (hobby-horse again) why not glue tuffa rock, bogwood, or cork bark to the inside with silicon sealant, and give yourself and the inhabitants a real, living background..?
