Background

I want a plain black background for my tank, if i cut a cerial box open and get it to right shape and size then cover with black sugar paper and tape onto tank would this work?

Do i need to curve it around the sides or will just the back do?
If i have two tanks side by side would it be a good idea to cover one side of one of the tanks to block fish's views of each other?

some people have reccomended puttinf baby oil on the back of the tank and sticking a bliack binbag over it, spreading it out untill its crease free

if you can find a cerial box big enough then i cant see why not, and i dont think putting 2 tanks side by side would cause any issues so i dont think youd need to cover the ends up

For what its worth, i painted the outside of my tank with 'blackboard' paint took a couple of coats but looks good.
