Hey just wondering, do you use or have a backdrop picture for your tank? I don't like to see the wires and everything behind the tank. So what do you think (Y) or (N).

Yes, I just use plain black (although I'm considering changing to a rocky kind of scene for a change), partly to hide the wires but also the plain black really makes plants stand out in their own right. Also think some fish feel a bit more secure with a background.

I am considering putting plain backgrounds on my tanks, but I'm going to put a moss wall on my nano, and if I can get pressurised CO2 in my other tanks I will do the same in those (I use liquid carbon in the nano, but in the others it'd be too expensive, and without CO2 the moss grows too slowly).

cheers :good:

I also use plain black, gives the tank depth and makes the fish feel more secure :good:

James.

thanks for everybodys ideas, I also think black is what im going to go with. Im not a huge fan of planted backs. :)

I use bin liners for mine  (except the show tank in my living room that has a 3D background in it; they're probaby the most impressive if you have the money!)

Bin liners haha thats a good idea  I'm just washing an old black sheet i don't need anymore. And yes the 3d backrounds are

I have a rocky background pic on my tank, but am about to change it to a solid black background, however I am now going to try a bin liner!!

ah what the heck, i have some black liners... why not :hey:

Just don't try and stretch it too tight; leave it a bit 'wrinkled' :good:

Wow! I folded out one of my construction cleanup bags and its almost the exact scale of my tank! Thank you fluttermoth for the idea! :hyper:

Rocky background in my new tank, but may try the bin liner idea later on :D
