Baby Puffers

My lfs was selling baby dwarf puffers, the problem was that they were half the size of a dime and were in a tank of neon tetras, ( which they carved up quite nicely ) should i ask lfs to move them or will the be okay there? is it even ok to be selling them at that age?

I purchased mine at 1/2" and they were in with large Gouramis. I suggested they move them, but they never did. The last time I visited I noticed one Gourami chasing the tiny puffers. I wanted to bring the last four in the tank home!

If the tetras were getting nipped at I'd at least mention it to the LFS workers. Ideally I would have given them their own tank.

If associates don't help you, go to the manager. Lodging formal complaints normally gets stuff done. If nothing comes out of it, you tried your best.

In with tetras, the puffers will be fine... but the tetras are gonna take some casualties.
