some of you may know, i'm a teacher but i do a lot of work with parents, so today was my regular Friday PM coffee morning.
one of my regulars is expecting a baby in ten days time, so when she told me she thought she might be going into labout i thought she was joking... the look on her face told me otherwise. i just managed to clear the room when she shouted....'he's coming'

I managed to get there just in time to see his head emerge, I quickly cupped his head in my hand then he just kind of slipped out into my arms. :hyper:

so here he is baby george spalding holmes... born 2.24pm 15th april 6lb 11oz

OMG i will stop shaking at some point

All I can say is what everybody else has-- what an amazing privilege! Child birth really is miraculous :) So lucky you were there to help~

Well done matron!

If only every delivery was that short! I've heard horror stories from the girls I work with about their 18, 24, even 30 hour labour!

Congrats on it though. You got to help with something miraculous!
