Baby fish! Not sure what species...

That one on the right is a polar blue parrot convict cichlid. The one on the left is not a albino, but to me it looks like a very young Snow White parrot cichlid(I think it’s called). I have 6 of the PB parrot convicts, and if they were breeding/trying to breed, they will become very agressive. I had two of them try to pair, nothing was allowed anywhere near the area they choose for their nesting ground. They even stepped up to my severum that was 5x their size. Luckily I did a rescape and took one of them out for a day and they are back to normal. Does the fry stay close to any of the parents or do they kinda just drift around.

I attach some images I've taken. I'll likely get better pics this evening when there is less natural light pollution.

Fry seems to be doing okay and are being well guarded by the parents. No doubt lost some but there's plenty in there. They don't eat their young do they?

I'm not sure which is the female, of the two, unless you folk have any ideas.

Yes very much so, where the fry go, the parents go. They have their one spot which is around the big rock I have in there and the plastic plant (yes I know, plastic isn't great lol)

I also have fake plants in my cichlid tank no judgement! I am not sure how to tell the male and female apart. My guess is that the female is the one that would stay back with the fry more and the male is the one that would go out to scare any threat away, that’s how it was for me, but they had their area in a cave.

Hi folks. Update.

So unfortunately the fry didn't survive. However, we have more and it seems a bigger batch! There's lots! Same parents, the male even built a wall in front of the chest ornament and the eggs were laid in there. Fry have hatched and swimming. My question is, what are they supposed to eat? Surely they're too small for regular food their parents eats.

The parents diligently watch over them and no other fish goes anywhere near them.
