So yea i got one of those bay bettas from petco, not something im proud of , but i dont know i just had to. Its in a 2.5 gallon tank with a 3 gallon filter and a small heater, ive been feeding it live foods and crushed pellets anything im missing/ doing wrong i just dont want to lose the little guy.

The main thing is to make sure that it is eating what you are feeding it. Since without seeing a pic I have no idea exactly how old it is, it could be fine to start taking a pellet or it might still require some live foods.  Then making sure you keep the water very clean and warm.  (I recommend 82F)

okay ive been doing water changes every 2 days and have witnessed it eat live foods but not pellets

ive tried to have my temp around 82 now and i think that hes around a month.Thanks for the help

Have you tried crushing up the pellets? If that doesn't work you could get New Life Spectrum small fish formula. Make sure you feed him small meals multiple times a day.

yea ive fed him crushed pellets and i will look into new life spectrum.thanks

get it a sword plant and some plant that will float at the top. they like to lay on the leaves plus it helps the tank.

ok i will do, hes actually been laying on some silk plants know so it makes sense
