Thats why I would cull them. Somewhere down the road, there will be a line with bent spines if they are bred. Given away, then given away, then bred for fun, then given away...etc. In any breeding program, from dogs to horses to pigs to fish, a responsibilitie goes along with breeding to uphold the breed. Sometimes a heavy hearted task comes along with the newborn. Deformities are not the same as faults. As a breeder, you cull the weak, and breed the strong. This is the only way you can try to keep the balance that nature would keep if they were in the wild. I'm not saying cull anything that is not the very best, but deformities should be put down, and the source looked at very closely.

every time you breed two fish together you are going to get some deformaties. flaws occur, doesnt mean they have bad genes. if you ask wuv(some help) she will probably tell you she has seen bent spines and deformaties in all her spawns.
its just part of breeding, you get some flaws.

I think I put wrong title. LOL
If deformation born babies, yes, you need to stop breeding the pair and bye bye the babies. But if the babies accidently bend by anything while growth up, i think it is ok to breed in the future. That is my two cents in the final. LOL
It is my wrong. I put the bubble current to high and I remember seeing the babies fly everywhere when the current blow them. LOL
Some of the babies might deformation in a batch and it is normal. Basically those should be dead because they can't get food. All the active siblings gets it before them.
ADDED.
Aren't it is interesting topics?:)
