As many of you may know, my rams have had babie. Well I moved them to a ten gallon and sometimes I overfeed them. The food they don't eat turns into fungus. Well the problem is I'm afraid of cleaning the tank because I may suck up a good portion of the babie. Is fungus bad for ram fry?

Fungus is extremely bad for any fish, but particularly babies. The decaying food will foul the water and increase the liklihood of disease in your fry. You can clean fry tanks in a couple of ways to make it easier. You can try to siphon just using a very fine piece of airline tubing. If the fry are more than a few days old, they'll be too big to fit in. Alternately, you can use an eyedropper or a turkey baster to spot clean and suck out just the extra food and fungused parts. It's more accurate than a big old siphon. Also consider adding a "mystery snail" (Pomacea bridgesii) to the tank. They will eat eggs, so don't keep them in the spawning tank, but they're completely harmless to live, healthy fry, and they're good at keeping uneaten food cleaned up.
