Attaching Gravel To Slate?

might seem like an odd question but i have large pieces of slate to fit into my fish tank but the color of them and my gravel is way off, im not sure if it was on here but i think i remember someone had glued (i presume) gravel round the piece of slate.

just wondering if this is a good idea (or if theres a better) and if it is what could i use to do it.

It has to be aquarium safe silicone, get it on ebay or from LFS. The stuff they use to make tanks. If you use any old silicone, like bathroom stuff, that has anti fungus chemicals in it that are not very good for the fishies

+1 on the aquarium silicone. I siliconed sand on some clay pots recently as I didn't like the orange look and siliconed my hands too in the process

I got mine off Ebay, it was called HA6 in a pack of 4 worked out best that way.

You can use 3M 1 Clear silicone- window and door. I know they build aquariums with it.
