Hello, I've been a fish keeper on and off throughout the years. From tropical, salt and reef. Most recently I've been spending my time outdoors with my koi pond. One evening as I was sitting in our newly remodeled basement (now that the kids are gone I could redesign it for my personal preference) I was thinking, that wall would look really good with a huge aquarium. I started exploring wood aquarium options and one thing lead to another. I'm now in the process of turning my former egress window into an aquarium. Of course given my climate it will have to hold cold water species, I was actually thinking about starting with some baby koi, then as they grow out I could populate my bigger pond outside.
If this turns out like the image in my mind I'm already planning phase two...blow out part of my basement wall and have a 15ft long aquarium window, from floor to ceiling (well, almost, one can dream, right?)
