Yes it is a Geophagus, Geophagus Surinamensis just a young one I bought a few days ago and it was viciously attacked by my peacock cichlid( rescued fish which has seemingly adjusted to 6-7.0 PH of my tank as his colours are getting better and better every day...as it's colours get better I get closer to a Identification so a LFS can take it.)

Oooh, nice tank! I love the look of driftwood, it always adds that certain something IMHO. How big is it?
Your fish are soo interesting and just beautiful. Wait, is that a-a CRAB? Wow! the whole tank must be really fun to watch. Does he try to catch the fish? Sorry, I'm still rather newbish, so I don't know the names for any of the fish lol!
Are they saltwater? Freshwater? Brackish? Aggressive? Inquiring minds want to know!

In case you ever decide to have a place to host all your pics, I recommend www.photobucket.com, it's really easy and you don't have to worry about allowed size here on the forum (as long as they get cropped a bit I suppose).
