Assassin Snails

Just a quick post to see if any of you guys or girls have them in your tank, and what you think of them?

I bought two about a year ago, and although they arent the quickest option over time they do a fair job at keeping snail numbers from exploding .
I do have to go on a manual snail sqwish every couple of months, but generally they do the job required, and there is always the option of getting a few more.

Bought mine for £3 quid each, they look pretty cool too with their Zebra stripes.

I own 3 assassins going to get 3 more soon just waiting for my apple snails to get truly huge in comparison to them so that they won't get eaten. They completely control pest snail populations so that I simply don't have to at all, I have read so much about these intriguing characters I can answer most of the questions you could possibly ask. They do hunt in "packs" when larger prey then themselves is available but it appears to be oppurtunistic rather then preplanned in the arrangement of these attacks. My 3 have taken down a pond snail twice the size of the largest assassin by all three attacking it at the same time.
