I think my assassins laid eggs however I am not sure as the intertube tells me they lay singular eggs which are fairly broadly spread. Mine seemed to lay them whilst wandering along the front on the sand/ acrylic admittedly over a detachted leaf but still doesn't correlate with what I have read. Any ideas?

if the eggs are in a bunch, they might be ramshorn snail eggs.

I know what the other species eggs look like as they breed like rabbits. These were specifically coming from under the shell of the assassin and dropping off the back they weren't in bunches as such like the others but didn't appear to be as sporadic as the internet reports. They were laid in a line approximately 1cm long and appeared to be approx 20 eggs. They didn't bunch although one or 2 were sticking to each other, I suppose I will have to wait until christmas before I will know for certain :(
