Thanks guys, I really don't know why the sand is so clean. I suppose most of the fish aren't waste machines like Plecs and so the filter can cope. The fact that the sand is always turned over by various loaches probably helps to.

Wuv you should see my Gibbiceps Plec , hanging from plants, rocks, wood its everywhere. It seems like he is trying to find the most adventurous spot to poo when I turn on the lights. I really wonder what he gets up to at night.
