My husband told me if I rescue any more fish I'm going to have to start a foundation because the house wont be able to hold any more.

So my sister calls me from a party last night ... would I like some pristella tetras and a cory... OMG of COURSE these are my FAVORITE fish!!!

So I go to the guys house this afternoon. He has been so kind as to already net them out for me and put them into ZIPLOC baggies    One was floating upside down already. So I thanked him kindly.... then RAN to my car to dump them into the fishstore bag I brought with me. Oh and dont even get me started about how the tank looked .... lets just say that it was not see through. The reason he was getting rid of them is because he was tired of taking care of them.

The upside down one seems to have been only playing dead. he was breathing rapidly at the surface but seems to have calmed down now. The poor little cory is sort of in shock. He is pressed up to the airstone in the hospital tank for dear life.

Now I need a total rearrange on my tanks so I can make a whole school of these without overstocking :grr:

*goes off to fiddle with numbers*

My aunt brought her fish over in a ziploc. I saw the edge sticking out and was torn between figuring out what fish I was introducing to the 50, and letting the poor things out to breath.

Ziplock bags should be fine if the bag was bigger i spose?????? :dunno: They are also food safe.

Good job corykitty516, maybe you should build a fish room! :D :D

Oh sorry ... I meant to explain that the baggies were sealed with no room for air at the top. They had been that way for about 15 minutes when I arrived.

I sort of have a fish room. It was supposed to be my office/sewing room but the fish have slowly but surely taken over where the serger and sewing machines used to sit. My sister is actually living in that room as well at the moment but she goes back to the dorms next week.

Oh to have a REAL fish room ... with space for a betta breeding set up *sigh* I have to wait until I graduate and have a *real* job and a bigger house .... then WATCH OUT

Oh the cory is either a julii or a false julii  my favorite
