Hi, i was just wondering what the smallest Arowana is that is avaliable, is there any that can be kept in a 4ft tank as a permenant home.

Thanks all

 Pica summed that up fairly quickly.

The minimum recomended tank size for any of the arowana species is a 6x2x2' (180 gallon), the smallest species are the Asian and Australian arowana's which commonly top out at between 20 and 24 inches but do have the potential to reach 3 feet, the same can be said of the black arowana but the most common species the silver arowana WILL reach a minimum of 30 inches and should not be kept unless a tank of at least 8x3x3 can be provided for the adult fish.
