Are windex and ethanol safe to use?

Wow! I despise the hospital odor of that stuff, but it seems to evaporate quick enough.
 
Didn’t know that. The degreasing one is thin like water. I thickened it a little with glycerin.
 
I've used windex, but I never spray it in the room with the fish. I put it on a cloth outside the fish area, then walk in to clean the glass. I wash my hands carefully if I'm going to do anything inside a tank.
 
Amazingly or maybe not, plain old tap water on a washcloth, dried off with paper towels, works fine for me on the tank exterior.
