Hi there

just been converted to tropicals

I've got a Juwel rio 180l 101x51x40cm i know its a large tank but i want all small fish in there cos the kids love small fish

i've got minnows and guppys and 13 apple snails in there at the moment and hoping to add
platys , swordtails , neons and some more variations of minnows

would these Corydoras pygmaeus be suitable in the tank i hope so cos they are so cute

They would work well with the smaller fish. I'm not so sure about swords because they can be a bit aggressive and get to over 2 inches long. Things like neons, platies, rasboras etc. would go well with some pygmies.

These are such darling fish, I'm sure you're going to love them. As OldMan47 mentioned swords can be a pain but I think if you have enough swords they will regulate themselves.

But, it's better to be safe than sorry.

Good luck.
