Today I went to the mountains to find some rocks for my fish tanks.

I was searching most for rocks for my 40g cichlid tank.
Some of the rocks have some white "crystal" like rock mixed with the rock. This will only affect hardness right? So with my cichlid tank it shouldn't be a problem?

Here's some pics of the rocks.

Do they look safe to you?

This one has some of what seems to be lichen. Is it safe?

Also, I found these rocks. They are interesting looking. Any idea what type they are?

They look like granite..should be fine. If you rub a finger on found rocks and it gives off some color when wet? Probably some kind of sandstone. Those are iffy.
