Are These Good Water Results?

I have 2 ppm in my tap water. before the change, my tanks were at 0 ppm

I have 1ppm of ammonia in my tap water.

What the.....? I knew there was a good reason not to live in the US. :X You lot should never have left the Empire.
Yeah but look at all the fun correction we made to the accent of the english language. I like the conversion of 'you all' to "y'all"

I've just run into this same problem and I'm soooo frustrated. My tap has 1ppm ammonia as well. AND I have high pH so its a double whammy. My tests so far aren't helping me so far. I'm jealous for your readings nikki, seems like your filters are doing their jobs.

I'll plan to do 2 water changes a week after I finish this cycle, {where I'm changing everyday} good tip!

That is how I do mine. It's really not a problem in my larger tanks. I also have high pH in my tap water. 9.0! But I keep swordtail/platys and african cichlids so I do not worry about it too much with them. The pH is a little higher than desirable in my SA cichlid tank, but I am working on fixing that. I just do not like to use chemicals to alter the pH. Its more important to have a stable pH than a desirable one. If you try to lower yours, use natural methods, like peat moss or bogwood. Chemical alteration can alter the pH too fast and potentially kill the fish. (i unfortunately know that from experience)

Oooooooo, don't get me started!!!!!!!!!!

I aspire to move to Europe and bring "ya'll" some proper accent!!! hahahahaha

I never planned to mess with the ph unless its some form of natural remedy anyway. Don't want to constantly worry about instability there. My fish will have to acclimate and then with the best care I can give them, I hope they thrive :)
