Leaving the water parameters aside for the moment (you mention "soft," can you get the numbers for the GH, KH and pH from your municipal water authority's website perhaps?) and responding solely to the mentioned fish, there are a couple of issues here.
First, you have a mix of sedate and active fish, and this rarely if ever works long-term. Sedate fish are fish like the gourami and neon tetra (in these lists) that are not active swimmers but spend their time slowly cruising. By contrast, the Lemon Tetra, zebra danio and platy are much more active, charging about all over the tank. Sedate fish can be "rattled" by active fish, and this causes stress which weakens the fish's immune system, resulting in more opportunity for disease, and almost always a shorter lifespan.
The list in post #10 of someone else's tank is unfortunately not recommendable. There is bound to be issues for some of those fish.
The second thing I see in your options are the corys. This is a social group of fish, and the group (shoal) needs to be larger. At least five or six, but when space permits (as it does in a 55g) more will be better. You can have all the same species, or mix them, but have several of each species.
