Is it true you can tell by there nose ?

In male angelfish, the outline of the body between the insertion of the ventral fins and the origin of the anal fin slopes sharply downward, where as in females this is a straight line.

~That should help. There is another way, but try this one first. If you can't figure out their gender by using this method, I'll tell you the other method to figuring out their gender.

very very tricky indeed to sex angels unless they are breeding - you have to be quite the expert to tell them apart.

Ok well can you tell by looking at the video I think the little one is a female and the big one is a male cheers

no, sorry - I have six and the only reason I know the sex of any of them is through watching them spawn.

as said - almost impossible to sex until they are spawning, or if you've keep hundreds of them and really know what to spot - even then you might only get it right 80% of the time, and that's if you are at commerical breeding levels.

the rule is pointy or bump and even then its hit and miss thats the only way i know of sexing them
